Issue Position

It is hard for most of us in the 12th District to understand why anyone would not support equal pay for equal work and I will fight to have that codified into law in Michigan.

Women deserve to make their own health decisions, and women and girls should have ready access to sexual education and birth control. I stand with Planned Parenthood as a provider of education and birth control along with abortion and other critical health services and counseling for women.

​Childcare is financially out of reach for many women and families now, with costs higher than minimum wage. Women are also most often the victims of domestic violence and need government protection for the safety of their children and themselves. We must take care of the women and children in our district and State, for both humane and economic reasons because when people can work the economy grows.
